1 September 2017 Key decisions made to form a new Corporate center and Civil Aviation Division of the United Aircraft Corporation

On September 1 meetings of Boards of Directors of UAC, Irkut Corporation and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft were held. A number of decisions of these governing bodies give a start to transformation of UAC, Irkut Corporation and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft into a new Corporate center of a single united company with functions of a Civil Aviation Division on the basis of Irkut Corporation. This is an important step within the corporate transformation program to form a single company in accordance with previous decisions of the UAC’s Board of Directors from December 2016.
28 May 2017 New MC-21-300 commercial airliner has completed maiden flight

On 28 May, 2017, the maiden flight of MC-21-300 commercial aircraft took place at the airfield of Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the affiliate of Irkut Corporation (a UAC member).

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd (COMAC) and United Aircraft Corporation of Russia (UAC)held an establishment ceremony for the Long Range WideBody Commercial Aircraft Program joint venture—name as China-Russia Commercial Aircraft International Co., Ltd. (CRAIC) on May 22nd, 2017. The main responsibility of CRAIC is to develop a new generation long range wide body commercial aircraft and take charge of its commercial operation. Chairman of COMAC Mr. Jin Zhuanglong, President of COMAC Mr. He Dongfeng, President of UAC Mr. Yury Slyusar, the vice president of UAC Mr. Vladislav E. Masalov attended the ceremony.
4 April 2017 UAC presents Russian aircraft at the defence exhibition in Brasil
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) presents Russian aircraft at LAAD 2017 Defence & Security exhibition to be held from 4 to 7 April in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). MiG-29 and Su-30 combat aircraft, Yak-130 and Yak-152 trainer aircraft, Be-200 and Be-300 amphibious aircraft, as well as MC-21 short to medium-range aircraft will be presented at the UAC stand (pavilion 3, stand 66).
