MiG-35

Mikoyan MiG-35 is the newest multifunctional aviation complex of the 4++ generation, created by the Mikoyan Design Bureau for operations in high-intensity armed conflict zones with strong enemy air defense in any weather conditions, capable of effectively hitting air, ground, and surface targets.

Single-seat MiG-35 and double-seat MiG-35D are multi-purpose fighters of the 4++ generation, representing further development of the MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 combat aircraft towards increasing combat effectiveness and versatility, as well as improving operational characteristics.

The main differences of the MiG-35/MiG-35D:

• integration of fifth-generation information and aiming systems into the avionics;
• the possibility of using advanced air weapons of Russian and foreign origin;
• increased combat survivability achieved through introduction of an on-board defense system.

The latest avionics along with advanced weapons allow MiG-35/MiG-35D fighters to solve a wide range of tasks, including:

• gaining air superiority in confrontation with fighters of the fourth and fifth generations;
• interception of existing and developed airspace attack weapons;
• high-precision weapon strikes on ground and surface targets without entering the air defense zone, day and night in all weather conditions;
• aerial reconnaissance using electronics and optoelectronics;
• participation in group actions and performing functions of a task force control point.
