• 29 November 2019 Irkut Corporation completed construction of the fourth MC-21-300 flight test aircraft

  The Irkutsk Aviation Plant, a branch of Irkut Corporation (a part of UAC), has completed systems diagnostics of the fourth MC-21-300 aircraft designed for flight tests.  

• 31 October 2019 EASA flight test experts completed third session of МС-21-300 certification flights

  Flight test experts of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) completed the third flight session of МС-21-300 certification program.

   

• 24 May 2018 Kazspetsexport Enterprise and Irkut Corporation have signed the contract for delivery of another batch of Su-30SM to the Republic of Kazakhstan

  On 24 May 2018, Republic State Enterprise Kazspetsexport of Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Irkut Corporation (an affiliate of UAC) signed the contract for delivery of another batch of Su-30SM multirole fighters. The contract was signed by the General Director of Kazspetsexport, Arman Ramazanov and the First Vice-President and General Designer of Irkut Corporation, Oleg Demchenko. 

   

• 12 May 2018 The second MC-21-300 aircraft joined the flight test program

  On May 12, 2018, the maiden flight of the second MC-21-300 test aircraft took place at the airfield of Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the affiliate of Irkut Corporation (a UAC member). The testing results of the first test aircraft were taken into account in the production of a new aircraft. 

   

• 25 March 2018 Irkut Corporation completed the construction of the second MC-21-300 aircraft

  At the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, a branch of Irkut Corporation (part of UAC), the construction of the second MC-21-300 aircraft, intended for flight testing, was completed. The testing results of the first test aircraft were taken into account in the production of a new aircraft. On March 25, the MC-21-300 was transferred from the final assembly shop to the flight test department.

   

• 20 March 2018 Test pilots of Yakovlev Design Bureau set world records with Yak-130 aircraft

  Fédération Aéronautique Internationale registered the records set by the test pilots of Yakovlev Design Bureau flying Yak-130 combat trainer.

   

• 3 November 2017 MC-21-300 aircraft undergoes further flight tests in Zhukovsky

  On November 2, 2017,  the MC-21-300 test aircraft performed the first flight from the airfield of Flight Research Institute n.a. M.M. Gromov (Zhukovsky city, Moscow region). The flight lasted more than three hours. The characteristics of stability and controllability were assessed at the altitudes varying from 6,000 to 12,000 meters. All aircraft systems operated normally.

   

• 13 September 2017 Irkut Corporation starts the second stage of MC-21 flight tests

  On September 13, the second stage of MC-21-300 in-plant development tests program has begun. The modified airplane systems worked without complaint during the flight. The flight lasted about 2 hours.

   

• 20 July 2017 Sberbank and Irkut Corporation signed a cooperation agreement

  On July 20, 2017, during the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017, Sberbank and Irkut Corporation signed an agreement on the development of cooperation on the MC-21 project. The agreement implies the possibility to provide the Corporation with a wide range of financial products of the bank for the development of the MC-21 project, including the after-sales support of the aircraft. 

• 19 July 2017 Irkut Corporation and Angara Airlines signed an agreement on the acquisition of three MC-21 aircraft

  During the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 in Zhukovsky, Irkut Corporation (UAC member) and Angara Airlines signed the agreement of intent to purchase three MC-21- 300 aircraft.
