United Aircraft Corporation and Flamingo Aerospace Sign Agreement for Supply of Six IL-114-300 Aircraft

United Aircraft Corporation (a part of Rostec) and Flamingo Aerospace Private Limited have signed a framework purchase agreement for six IL-114-300 regional aircraft. The official signing ceremony took place during the Wings India 2026 International Aviation Exhibition at Begumpet Airport (Hyderabad).

This collaboration initiates a phased aircraft program to address India’s growing regional connectivity needs, with the initial six aircraft representing the first phase and provisions for future expansion based on market demand and operational readiness.

As part of the agreement, UAC has provided Flamingo Aerospace with a cooperation framework, including a detailed roadmap for developing aviation capabilities in India. This enables Flamingo Aerospace to undertake phased industrial activities such as aircraft assembly, customization, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and preparation for manufacturing and infrastructure development. The agreement demonstrates both parties' commitment to building sustainable, long-term aviation capabilities in India, pending definitive agreements and regulatory approvals.

Subhakar Pappula, Founder & CEO, Flamingo Aerospace, “We are proud to take this significant step forward with United Aircraft Corporation, marking a new era for regional aviation in India. This partnership brings advanced aircraft and technology to the Indian market as well as lays the foundation for building sustainable aviation capabilities and skilled jobs in the country. Together, we are committed to enhancing regional connectivity and supporting India’s vision for a robust, self-reliant aviation sector.”

In addition, Flamingo Aerospace expressed interest in other UAC programs with the aim of promoting them in India, positioning Flamingo Aerospace as a key partner in expanding the presence of UAC aircraft in the Indian aviation market.

Vadim Badekha, CEO, United Aircraft Corporation, said: "The Indian air travel market is growing at the fastest rate in the world. Passenger numbers are growing annually by up to 11%. India is the world's third-largest air travel market. This creates the preconditions for the commercial success of our regional aircraft in the local market, which we confirmed today by signing the first contract for the delivery of Il-114-300 aircraft with Flamingo Aerospace. While the signed framework agreement covers the delivery of six aircraft starting in 2028, we plan to expand our cooperation with Flamingo Aerospace to include new mutually beneficial collaborations in the future." The IL-114-300 is a 68-seater regional turboprop aircraft designed for short- to medium-haul operations. It can operate autonomously from small airfields, regardless of their infrastructure, as well as from short runways. The aircraft is built from Russia components and is equipped with TV7-117ST-01 engines developed by the United Engine Corporation (part of Rostec State Corporation).

The IL-114-300 is being certified for use in a wide range of climates – from Arctic latitudes and the harsh Siberian expanses to mountainous areas and regions with tropical, subtropical, and hot climates.
